About

Or: how I came to keep a camera close.

I make pictures of people and the weather they bring with them.

My work lives in the soft middle — between editorial portrait and documentary, between assignment and notebook. I am most at home with quiet subjects, slow afternoons, and a fixed lens.

Before the camera, I trained as a printmaker at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design. That tactile sense of paper, ink and registration still shapes how I see, and how I edit.

I work primarily on film — a medium-format Hasselblad 500 CM and a softly battered Leica M6 — and finish digitally. I print everything I love at least once.
